How I Found My First Freelance Writing Client
Well, they found me
During the pandemic, I worked as a digital marketing assistant at an early startup. The job allowed me to play around with copywriting for ads, web pages, blogs. You name it, I wrote it.
Mid-pandemic, I realized I liked the written word a lot more than I dared to admit. A year prior, I was still trying to code. I threw those aspirations out of the window once I realized I like the title of ‘programmer’ more than the work itself. Now that this was out of the way, I could focus on writing even more.
My output on the blog became consistent. As a result, my writing slowly improved, my follower count increased, as did that of my spreadsheets publication. The most popular templates garner traffic in the thousands.

A writer came across one of my blogs and liked what they read. They then shared the post with some of their team members, who liked it as well. Suddenly, I received several LinkedIn invites. What followed was an invitation to collaborate!
